The forecast does not look good for us in the Northeast United States. I sit this morning with gusts of the wind howling outside our window. Nothing terribly wrong yet, but this is just the beginning, or so the forecasters say. Predictions of widespread power outages and I quote “catastrophic damage” may occur. Yikes! Now I know the media tends to ramp everything up, but this time I am a little nervous.
We are going through our hurricane checklist, and hubby asks me “What about diapers? Do you have disposables?” He dropped the bomb question on me! I intended to use cloth diapers throughout the hurricane if I could – dependent on our water supply and if we have any damage to the house. So I began to review all my hand-washing posts and ideas, so just in case we lose power I would be able to keep up with all my diapers!

If you are in the path of the storm, please be safe! Hurricanes are not something to mess around with because they can be deadly and dangerous. My prayers go out to all of those who are in its path.
